Poseidon of the East (23)

David Brooks commented a few weeks ago on Charlie Rose about how law and order counts for more in most people's mind than "reform," however high-minded. Especially if the status quo is yielding observable results. Shouryuu is counting on being the devil they all know.

Thank you so much for the new chapter!
It's great to actually read what the reactions to Shouryuu's plans are!

Just to mention (hope it's helpful):

"...but its subjects had every reason to believe that tomorrow would be better that today." - should be "than"

and

"Without an emperor, a kingdom goes to rack and ruin. Everybody knows that that is like.” - should be "...knows what that is like."

and

"Ah, I hate it. The small of blood everywhere. " - the "smell".

Hi Eugene, so great to have come upon your blog. I just want to ask how many chapters are there in the book Poseidon of the East?

There are 39 numbered chapters, plus the prologue and two postscripts.
