Hills of Silver Ruins (1/29)

I've posted chapter 29 (book 1) of Hills of Silver Ruins, a Pitch Black Moon.

The meng niao (孟鳥) is the Chinese name of a mythological red, yellow, and blue bird.

High-value blue birds are bred under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Summer (夏官の管轄). Think of it the same way that ARPANET, the direct forerunner of the Internet, was developed by DARPA, the research and development agency of the United States Department of Defense.

GPS and the graphical user interface also have their roots in DARPA projects.

Yes! Another chapter! And we learn more about the government as well!

Hmmm... I am surprised. The Ministery of Summer manages military affairs, doesn't it? Why is it responsible for the raising of the you birds? I assume that they are used much more for general communication, not war. I know that this is not exactly a reason to assume anything, but are you sure you got the name of the ministry right? I don't mean to insult you or anything like that. You are doing an amazing job with the translation. I just feel that having the Ministry of War raise birds used for communication instead of, say, the Ministery of Heaven, which manages general politics, is a little weird.

Anyway, keep up the good work! Thank you for this amazing chapter! I am looking forward to the next one!

I added an explanatory note to the post. The blue bird's connection to the Ministry of Summer aligns well with the actual history of many critical components in the global IT infrastructure.
