Yessss thank you, I’ve been waiting for this! A question for you, if I remember right, you mentioned I believe in the comments for a previous post that you intended or were planning on possibly taking down the html/web versions of your translations for 12K, if you’d like, I would be more than happy to host and maintain them on my own domain for you! I love the means and methods by which you’ve made this series so accessible to others and maybe it’s just me but there is a bit of nostalgia with being able to reliably read through the chapters with simple, old school pagination on the web! I’d love to preserve this work for you if it’s simply a matter of hosting/maintenance!
I will be retiring my current hosting service at the end of the summer. If you would like to maintain the files on your server and domain, that would be perfectly fine with me.
Thank you so much! I’ve already begun archiving your work and will post it online as soon as your page goes dark, nothing will change though I may add a single page explaining that the site is a copy/mirror/static archive! This means a lot to me and I’m sure to several other fans in the English speaking community who’ve relied on your translation work over the years to keep reading Fuyumi’s 12K novels.
If you are at all interested, I’m also a hobbyist book binder, I’ve long wanted to bind your translations of this series for my personal library and would be more than happy to do the same for you as a gift, if you’d like a personalized, hand-bound copy of your translations! I’ve been unable to find a good email address to contact you with to propose this more formally but if you’re interested, please feel free to contact me at commissionlukadian[at]gmail[dot]com.
Sincerely,
Lukadian

I'm going to upload a final version of the website this weekend with the absolute links replaced with relative links and any extraneous files removed. At that point, I can create a zip file of the whole site.
I appreciate the thought, but I make a point of only acquiring ebooks these days. I've gotten very Zen about such things. More importantly, I still consider the Twelve Kingdoms a work in progress. I've been doing editing passes when I find the time (a big reason I prefer the Google Docs platform). This usually doesn't involve anything major, just correcting lots of typos and grammatical mistakes.
So far, I've made numerous updates to Shadow of the Moon and Hills of Silver Ruins that are not reflected in the website versions.

That’s a fair point (in regards to the WIP nature of the series and your Google documents!) I’ll definitely keep it in mind and let you know if I find any additional typos are grammatical snafus here and there if it helps! And preferring e-books over physical copies is definitely valid, sounds pretty freeing! I’m a bit of a pack-ray by nature so my pride and joy is maintaining a physical personal library myself!
I’ll keep an eye out if you post your site as a zip anywhere!
Do you intend to continue translating if Fuyumi-sensei revisits the series? There have been rumors afloat of another short story collection in the works!
